Praise God for He created all things

This morning we woke up with the sound of a sparrow praising God! Later we also heard a dove singing his praise to God. It's so wonderfull to think that the birds know who their Maker is and praise Him every day. Should we that have received so much, not praise Him even more with our lives?

Mat 6:26 Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds?

1Co 8:6 yet there is for us only one God, the Father, who is the Creator of all things and for whom we live; and there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created and through whom we live.

Yellow daisy

Psa 103:14  For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Psa 103:15  As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
Psa 103:16  For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
Psa 103:17  But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
Psa 103:18  To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
Psa 103:19  The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

What does Christmas really mean?

Thinking back over the happenings this Christmas, I once again stand in awe of God's goodness.

Christmas Eve He lay a feast before us - combined with the good company of family to celebrate the Gift of His son Jesus. What struck me was that Jesus did not come to us with great fanfare but in humility - born in a cave just outside Jerusalem in Bethlehem. If he came with a big show, we might miss His hand in the small, seemingly insignificant things in life? Like a flower or a bird or an insect? His ways are so different from ours - looking at the heart and not the bank account.

Christmas day started at church. Here we heard about the miracle of a couple who lives in Zambia that were battling for years to have kids. Last week they celebrated the birth of quadruplets - born at 26 weeks. They are all healthy and everything is going extremely well. Praise God! We are so happy for them and pray the God will protect them during the next few critical weeks of their development.

Why was God good to you? Think back about what Christmas meant for you this year - thinking of good food, family, friends, kids laughing and playing.
